Recruitment for
RESERVE FIREFIGHTER
The Position:
Reserve Firefighter is an unpaid, volunteer position. Under general supervision, Reserve Firefighters respond to emergencies, promote fire prevention and maintain District property. Reserve Firefighters are required, as a minimum, to be on-duty 48 hours per month and maintain 20 hours of training per month.
Qualified Reserve Firefighters may be promoted to part-time paid employees.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Eighteen years of age
- High school Diploma or GED
- Valid California Drivers License
- Current Emergency Medical Technician Certificate
- Current Certification Professional CPR
- Completion of approved California State Fire Marshal Firefighter 1 Academy
- Valid Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) less than 1 year old (if selected)
The Application Process:
Application must be completed and received at Station 28 during August 1st through September 30th 2011.
